The Best Texas Hill Country Golf Courses

As much of the country deals with Old Man Winter's icy grip, New Braunfels and other communities around the Texas Hill Country are enjoying subtropical climates and soothing Gulf air. Since we rarely get snow or temperatures below 40 degrees in our neck of the woods, the area around New Braunfels lends itself to being the perfect destination for a winter golf vacation. Without a shred of doubt, the Texas Hill Country golf courses will continue to attract sports enthusiasts looking for friendly competition among picturesque landscapes and iconic scenery. In the heart of it all, New Braunfels Leasing and Resorts has a splendid array of vacation rentals every bit as impressive as the beauty that surrounds them. Our slice of paradise has some of the best golf courses in the region, and we're here to assist in your selection. Today we present three of the best Texas Hill Country golf courses.

3 of Our Favorite Texas Hill Country Golf Courses

The most noteworthy aspect of the Texas Hill Country golf courses is how they masterfully incorporate the natural topography of the area. What's more, the New Braunfels weather will make you want to come back year after year for a winter retreat. Here are some of our favorites.

Starcke Park Golf Course

Crafted out of the remnants of a century-old pecan grove, Starke Park is one of the last "park-style" facilities in the state. The generous fairways allow for an unpredictable hook or slice, and the elevated greens and gracious bunkers allow for enough challenge to keep the game exciting. Located in Seguin, Starcke Park Golf Course is among some of the best municipal courses in Texas.

Landa Park Golf Course

Landa Park is a relatively short course consisting of approximately 6200 yards of play. Although Landa is on the shorter side of the spectrum, the course provides a fun challenge for rookies and veterans alike. The player-friendly fairways are wide, and there aren't too many difficult approaches to take. Despite being one of the more forgiving golf courses in the Texas Hill Country, there are a few hidden challenges like the par-5 fourth pin located more than 550 yards from the tee.

The Bandit Golf Club

Nestled upon the shores of Lake McQueeny, The Bandit Golf Club has nearly 7,000 yards of play from the longest tees. This public, par-71 facility offers multiple tees sets to allow a challenging yet enjoyable experience for various skill levels. Crafted by Keith Foster, Bandit is a top ten public golf course in Texas in Golfweek magazine's eyes.
